What a whirlwind of a month! April was crazy for us, in all of the best ways. We celebrated Holy Week, went to a lot of weddings and Joshua turned three! We also started a house search that we thought would take many months and it ended in buying a new house and selling ours in a matter of days. It was a very full month and we are grateful! Here are some highlights:

We kicked off Holy Week with a visit from our friend Mary! The boys are obsessed with her and loved getting to play!

On Holy Thursday, we had our annual Fancy Traditional Seder Meal followed by washing each other’s feet. (We use Faith and Fabric Design’s How to Prepare a Last Supper Meal– it’s super easy if you’ve ever wanted to try it!)
On Good Friday, we went to a friend’s homestead and prayed stations with all of the kids. They also got to pet baby bunnies on Easter weekend- how fun?
Nana & Jonathan with the boys. Jonathan flew down for less than 24 hours to celebrate the Easter Vigil with us because my 89-year-old grandpa came into the Church!
Still can’t believe we got one good picture with the two of them smiling! We love these boys.
They were troopers at the 8:30pm vigil. Joshua was so excited to “sleep at church” and kept wondering why no one else was laying down to sleep on the pews, too.
Congratulations to Paw Paw!!! Welcome to the Church!!!
Joshua loved the Easter festivities at Nana & Pop’s. He was old enough to really participate in the Easter Egg hunt and the egg dyeing!

Noah thoroughly enjoyed all of the candy. It’s safe to say this white polo is permanently no longer white…!
Right as we are about to move, the Houston parks FINALLY opened! We made sure to hit one of our favorites, Levy Park, and play one last time!
We took a family trip to explore Hermann Park and the Science Museum while it’s still 10 minutes away. We had a great day enjoying some classic Houston activities.
These dinosaurs and the butterfly exhibit will never get old to Joshua! We also saw the Body Worlds exhibit which was fascinating. Joshua kept asking Evan, “Is this inside my body?”
Baby Elliot was born! Evan’s sister, Audrey, and her husband, Collin, welcome their first baby. We are so excited for them!
The boys loved meeting their baby cousin. Noah kept saying “baby” and attacking him lovingly.
On our way home from a wedding in Austin, we stopped in Brenham to see all the bluebonnets!
Congratulations to Chuck & Marikit and Shaun & Debra! We loved getting to celebrate you guys!
The boys loved running around in the field. They didn’t love posing for pictures as much, ha!
Evan went to Dallas for the weekend to celebrate our friend Conrad’s going away party. Little did we know that the house we ended up in would go up and I would have to go see it and decide about moving forward all by myself! Evan rushed home, saw the house, and we got our offer in in the nick of time.
We love our new home so much! It is close to our Church and only 10 minutes from my parents. More pictures will come, but we have a porch swing! When we took Joshua to visit, he asked us, “can I stay here forever?” We feel the same, Joshua.
We have a backyard! And trees!! These are ours in our backyard! While we’ve loved many parts of city living, we are excited to have space for the boys to run around and live in a more family-friendly area. We will sure miss the good food!
Joshua turned 3!!!
We spent the day at the Zoo with some good friends. They even brought muffins and a candle! Joshua felt very loved and celebrated.
All Joshua wanted for his birthday was a train party, so we gave him a train party!
The party was complete with little conductor favors, because how could we resist?!
We found the cutest easy ideas for a train party. If you have any kiddos who love trains, definitely make these little loaf pan train cars!
Joshua had a blast playing with all of his friends!
Last but not least, enjoy this precious photo of our sweet baby Noah! We have been super obsessed with him this month. He loves to copy anything and everything Joshua does and thinks it’s hilarious to slap people in the face. He loves his puppy and Evan is his favorite (right now at least 😉 ) We can’t stop staring at this picture! Love this boy.

We are excited for this new season for our family, but know it will be a bit chaotic for a while as we get settled. We hope that you have had a great April with family and friends.
