Summer 2021

Happy Fall, y’all! The end of summer was filled with lots of fun things and great visits. Instead of endlessly sharing about them all, I though I’d pick our top ten from the past few months! Here they are:

1. My 26th Birthday

Started the month with my 26th birthday. I think I am finally at the age of genuinely forgetting what age I am. When you have 3 babies already at 26… you definitely feel older than that, lol! Got to eat at my favorite restaurant, with some decently behaving boys!

2. First Friday Sacred Heart Brunch & Birthday Party for Mary with Friends

We started First Friday brunches with some of our friends, and it has been lovely! Especially the sourdough cinnamon rolls..

All the kids made their own little “offering” for Mary unprompted and put them at her feet, how cute!

I think Noah ate the entire container of blue icing…

3. All of the Swimming and Adventures at Nana & Pop’s new house

Noah is the most fearless swimmer of them all..he even jumped in with his clothes and shoes on (yeah, no puddle jumper…) and Nana was quick to dive in to get him! I hope it scared him at least a little bit…

We celebrated our cousin Juniper’s 2nd birthday with cupcakes and swimming!

4. House blessing with Fr. David Michael & Goodbye visit from Angel!

Father David Michael, a childhood friend of mine, came all the way up from Fulshear to bless our new home! It was such a fun visit.

We said goodbye to another one of our favorite religious, Angel! He is officially in California with the Norbertines and we miss him so much!

5. Camping as a family

We went on a hike carrying both of our kids for probably the last time before they’re too big. It was a special trip, even with all the inconveniences of toddlers. Love them.

*Evan planned the whole trip like a pro and we ate very well!* I think our favorite meal was still s’mores though…

The kids did AWESOME during the day together. Trying to sleep as a family in the tent at night, well, we just won’t talk about that part. 😉

6. Starting Homeschool!

Joshua got to come get some supplies at Lakeshore Learning to gear up for his first year of Homeschool! He was so proud.

We started our first year of preschool and homeschooling! We are trying out Mother of Divine Grace curriculum and we are having lots of fun!

Joshua’s little school nook has been treating him well! He loves doing his workbooks and it is just so precious.

7. Finding out we are pregnant with a baby GIRL!

We are SO thrilled to be adding a third to our crew! Noah and this baby will be 27 months apart, and Joshua and Noah are 21ish apart…so we feel like Noah is going to be so old! Looking at this pic of him here, maybe that was wishful thinking…ha!

We did an early blood test to find out the gender and it said we are having a baby GIRL!!! We sure hope it is true, but Evan said he won’t believe it until this baby is born!

Noah still has no idea, but he sometimes points and says baby! We think he will do an amazing job being a big brother!

8. Painting our counters

I know this was totally insane, but this was a big part of the last few months! We DIYed our kitchen. To see the countertop process, you can checkout the blog post here. Then Evan make a beadboard backsplash and we think it turned out pretty darn good for a complete kitchen renovation for under $200!
